Therapists who have been using EMDR for a number of years truly believe that it is the most powerful therapeutic method a clinician can have available to treat a wide variety of client complaints. It is not a "technique" but a whole way of conceptualizing a treatment plan that is unique for each client.

It is widely believed that no one should be using EMDR without the comprehensive knowledge base gained only by reading Dr. Francine Shapiro's EMDR textbook. The textbook willl be included in the tuition fee. Competency in EMDR will be partially assessed by passing two Pass/Fall objective tests.

This course has been formatted to teach the Level I and Level 2 material at one time over a four week period meeting three alternating weekends.

Clinicians in this course will be prepared to use EMDR with select clients after the first weekend and with all appropriate clients after the second weekend.

On going case consultation will be provided during the four weeks of the course.

Graduates of the course will receive a Certificate of Completion showing that they were trained in an EMDRIA approved training program. They will be eligible to become EMDRIA members where they will receive the support of their professional organization including regular Newsletters and access to the most current information on EMDR research and protocols.

This 37- hour course is approved by the EMDR International Association, meets the training requirements for full therapeutic utilization of EMDR, and enables you to enter the EMDR Certification Process. It explores the origins of EMDR; its theoretical, scientific and research basis; its components, clinical applications, protocols and procedures; and its limitations and ethical /legal issues.
